22-year Old Nigerian Corper Has Quirky Way To Make $1 Million
Imagine a TV channel that shows nothing but commercials. 22 year old Nigerian guy, Adesokan Ayotunde, serving in Abuja to make $1million selling adverts on a website with no content. He launched a website he calls crazynotstupid.com selling a million pixels of ad space for $1 each.
He has this to say ;
" I realise I've read over 12,000 articles the past 5 years, not sure if that's a lot or it's on average but certainly not less for a guy who grew up in Akerebiata (Don't try searching, Google maps wont locate.. lol). I'm just one of those who wants to build things, I just want to succeed at building something!
I had developed 4 products (1st Archived, 2nd DOA, 3rd DOA, 4th Stalled). This, the 5th, so I'm unhappy catching taxis (allawee 19k, you dare not Uber) to my hate-what-I-do 8-5 PPA job, everyone always hard at work trying to get their job done, no creativity going on for me, could sell no ideas (amazing org. & folks btw), just not connecting to the NGO world (F**k Ay! I'm in trouble, still working there), now felt the need to get a car and decided I had to raise money to fund my stalled project. As nature would have it, I stumbled on this one article, the epiphany! It has worked before and This is NIGERIA! We are not stupid, we just love crazy ideas. Then I tapped into the original's mind and The DonDraper-HarveySpectre-SteveJobs side of me, got creative and bam! - crazynotstupid.com . My belief, shits crazy enough to work or just might not fly, either way I'm not about to be comfortable and boring. "The Crazy Creates... "
crazynotstupid.com is a website selling 1,000,000 pixels of advertising space for $1 per pixel with a 100 pixel minimum purchase. On the site is a grid of 10,000 boxes, each purchase of 100 pixels are sold in 10 X 10 blocks. Businesses can place advertising logos on the purchased space, linking web users to their own website. The goal is to sell all of the pixels in the image. If does succeed, it would generate $1 million and so far, 1300 pixels sold.
Hopefully crazy not stupid enough to capture people's imaginations and create interest.

I placed my ad on his site. I was surprised at how quickly clients got me. My hotel is amongst the ads on his site. I hope it remains the only hotel there, so I keep getting the desired attention. 😉.
